| January 20, 2003--Okay, so here's the dilly... Target date: Imbolc. Yes, that's when I plan to post the new version of College Wicca...aka College Wicca 3.0. Astrologically, it's coinciding with the New Moon, and I'm waiting for Mercury to get out of retrograde. I also want to spend some more time working on book reviews (I have two done so far!) and polishing up some other details. So in reality, the extra time is more for the sake of content than astrology. *grin* Truthfully, though, I'd love to post it tonight, but I know it's not ready. Patience can be such a tough skill to learn! Anyway, what are the differences going to be? For one, no more bloody frames! The colors and theme are going to remain, but it should be a simpler style for everyone. It will still be maxed for a 1024x768 resolution ('cause that's what I use), but will be less frustrating to those who insist on having a lower resolution...well, probably. Maybe. It depends. (I'm feeling silly tonight...don't ask!) There is new content including the aforementioned book reviews, a webstore, a bookstore, further reading suggestions on each page, better printable pages, and, well, it just looks better in many ways. I'm quite proud of it...heavens know I've worked my buns off for it. Not too shabby for being done by one person. Now to find more time to write...I'm already writing what I can before bed and during my lunch break at work (which, I must add, included a recent promotion to manager but that will mean that lunch time won't be as useful for writing now) but I know that's not a lot. Well, keep your fingers crossed, and keep coming back! Updates to be posted soon! January 2, 2003--Happy New Year! How appropriate it is, too, that we begin the new year with a New Moon as well! I hope everyone has had a great holiday thus far! For the most part, I have, too. You may have noticed few updates lately...that was for various reasons. I had been hoping to put some time into updating while K'Tok and I were at his family's house for Christmas. That intention was, however, very much thwarted by a religious experience he, his sister, and I shared: We were all worshipping the porcelain goddess in a loud voice. No, not inebriation, but a rather unpleasant case of bacterial food poisoning. For the record, it was not the doing of K'Tok's mom...she was very good in nursing us back to health. It wasn't caused by his dad, either, as he didn't cook anything while we were there. I know the source of the food poisoning, but I won't point any fingers. It was not from a commercial establishment, so don't worry, I'm not saying this to alarm anyone. I just want to make it clear that they are not the ones to blame. But I did want to share the main reason why things have not been done around here...I haven't been home! The good news is I can rest assured that I did not gain any weight from Christmas dinner. In the meantime, I want to thank those who sent Yule wishes, notes, and e-cards. Marcel, Sorita, and Azoq in particular...thanks all! So what's up next? Well, I have a lot of work to get done, but I hope to have a finished product by the end of the month. I haven't had much time to actually sit and write (heck, this entry took two days!) so I hope that now that the crazy retail season is over that there will be more to look forward to. Stay tuned, folks! Things are looking up! |
