| October 22, 2003--Work + the Flu = ? Blargh! Both K'Tok and my boss had the flu recently, and guess who has it now? I had to leave work early on Monday, and went in only for a half hour to make sure things were running smoothly on Tuesday. Both days, I slept for the rest of the time. Some masochistic part of my brain was telling me for the past two days that I should be making good use of my time at home by actually doing something constructive. I personally think lying in a pool of my own sweat is about as constructive as you're going to get. I still have to work today. But anyway, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a happy Samhain! I'm working that night, but we're having the trick-or-treaters come through the mall, so I'll be wearing my Ren Faire costume for the third year in a row to hand out candy. K'Tok and I are considering holding a ritual that night or on November 1st, depending on how tired we are, since he'll be driving home for 3 hours. Beyond that, we have nothing really planned. Also, I'm pleased to announce this site has had over 10,000 hits! Thank you to everyone who has visited! Again, happy Samhain...I hope it's a good one for you! October 1, 2003--Rhae's in *that* mood again. First of all, yes, I know I haven't been updating, but I have been reading what's posted at the forum. Reporting in from the real world, I've been at work most of the time, dealt with the hurricane, still learning PHP for another website, took care of a flu-ridden significant other, and frankly not getting enough sleep. So what else is new? Well, I did get the Pagan Music page completed...yes, the information was submitted by MorningDove from the Forum, and since she did a good job providing links, I can't say I had too much of a hand in it. But it's good information for adding a depth to your rituals. I also updated the News Archives...though after staring at those posts on this page, you probably don't need to see them...though what has been done in the past may be of interest to some people. And I need to take a moment to make one thing clear, since I haven't done so in a while: I have recently (within the past 2 weeks) received 4 e-mails with requests to teach (and I'm assuming they're asking that I do it for free due to the "I can't afford books" clause in the e-mails), questions about where the campus is located, and what kind of classes I hold. College Wicca is not a college of Wicca. The site was created for Wiccans (and Pagans) who were in college because there was little information when I created the site about how to form a group or hold rituals in tiny dorm rooms with fire restrictions. Wicca is a major part of my life, and I gladly share what I can with you here...but when the rent is due, it would not pay to teach Wicca to everyone who sends an e-mail as if I know where they live and can make house calls. Also, I don't think our apartment complex is zoned to become a campus. So please...read the pages in this site, join the forum and actively participate by asking specific questions, and try to quell the notion that everything is so secret anymore that you won't be able to learn without a teacher. Trust me, there's more available to you than you'd think, but you need to show both initiative and patience. You won't learn everything Wiccan within a week or even a decade. Okay? Okay. I'll see what else I can work on, and you read and talk. Everyone happy now! Even Bear happy! (I've also been watching too much anime lately....)
