Bird's Eye View is the new title for the "Deep Thoughts" section. What constitutes a "deep thought"? Anything that may have to do with Paganism, but is more of an opinion rather than a directly informative essay. Hopefully by reading some of these articles, I can present some more of my personal thoughts on Paganism today without having to state "this is just my opinion" every time. The essays here may eventually find themselves on the main page, but I'm putting them here for now. Call it a "Rants and Raves" page if you wish...I tend to think of them as being issues of importance to me.

On Hypocrisy: Pagan-bashing Christians and Christian-bashing Pagans. Very little bothers me more than this issue.

On Wisdom: This stems from someone stating he made a "wise" comment. What is wisdom?

An Exciting and Dangerous Trend: Spells for Fun and Profit!: After seeing several people ask for "easy" spells to try out, I wrote this to explain more why spells are not just to be thrown around without thought.

The God/dess Loves You!: So often I hear people saying how loving God/dess is. S/He does love us...that doesn't mean S/He will coddle us.

An It Harm None?: Alcohol and even drugs are found on the college scene. My thoughts on how they "mix" with Wicca.

I Don't Care: A Personal Rant: Without trying to sound apathetic, what you do with your religion is up to you. I could care less.

A Dark Night of the Soul: Kind of a continuation of "I Don't Care," but this time telling about those times I want to give up and why I keep going.

Christian-Wicca: Some people think the two can't be mixed. I can't say it's wrong, nor can I say it's right for me. These are some thoughts on the subject for those who are considering going this route.

The Broomcloset: In or Out?: Being in or out of the broomcloset is a personal choice and one that you shouldn't be forced into making. But I think hiding something kind of takes away from the idea of having pride in it.

Retail, Religion, and Responsibility: This was on the home page as my thought of the "week" (or two or three...). I realized it was Deep Thought material, and decided to move it here where it belonged. Since I've been basically writing Deep Thoughts, I'm going to start archiving them here. This is an essay on how, like at my retail job, it is no one else's responsibility to tell us what to do when we have the ability to find new outlets for our (spiritual) boredom.
